THE SEATTLE SQUARE is a pilot community activation initiative in South Downtown’s Occidental Square. Kicking off on July 17th, this outdoor market will bring Seattlites together to activate the region’s oldest neighborhood while supporting local entrepreneurs as well as the business community in South Downtown.
The Square is a community partnership with support from the City of Seattle’s DPD, Seattle Parks and Recreation, DSA, and TAPS. The Square aims to bring Seattlites together to activate the region’s oldest neighborhood while supporting local entrepreneurs as well as the attendant business community.
You can take the bus / light rail / sounder / west seattle water taxi / your feet / bike (see map below)– they all bring you to the Square! There are also plenty of parking lots in the neighborhood, including FREE PARKING at Merrill Place Garage (76 S King St) for market visitors, participants and volunteers.
