The mind behind Cohesive Chaos belongs to April Doyal, a “happily married mother of 2.”
Check out her profile below:
If it is creative, I have my hands in it. I am primarily a web designer/programmer/geek. My passion is in designing, I would love to be able to say that it is in one particular area of design, but it’s not. I love to design anything and everything that has potential to be designed. From clothing to jewelry, to quilt tops and websites, if there is a level of design involved, I tend to be passionate about it.
I enjoy sculpture, beading, polymer clay, fabric arts, fabric crafts, screen printing (or silk screening for the old schoolers), making candles, making jewelry, painting, beads, crochet, knitting, spinning yarn, patterns, sewing fashions/clothing, and too much more to really list here. Creativity is the fuel that keeps my life fires burning.
I am happy to consider custom work, and designs both in the physical (real) sense and the tangible virtual sense (internet technologies). Please feel free to email me at contact [at] cohesivechaos [dot] com.

How did Pisces Evolutionary Design start?
I started Pisces Evolutionary Designs as a way to express my creativity and to create affordable, unique jewelry.
What type of things do you make?
I work with semi precious stones, sterling and fine silver. My latest creations are chakra rings and earrings. Each has 7 stones which represent each of the 7 energy chakras.
I also do custom jewelry for weddings and other special occasions and can create that one of a kind special gift for you. If you are looking for any unusual or hard to locate semi precious stones ask me.
What is your inspiration?
Nature and being connected to the earth are my inspirations.
Where can we find your stuff (other than at our market)?

The “events tab” lists the fairs and festivals where I will be showing my jewelry including my new 7 stone chakra jewelry.
OK, so maybe I’ve already done a post on Funnelcake. It just so happens that if they send me more (+ new! + exciting!) stuff, that I’m going to share them with you.
Mintika offers an array of paper cards, paper art and functional textile pieces. Barbara Pronsato’s playful cards help you track
nostalgia for bygone eras. Fabulous, dated ad copy detailing decadent food displays serve as photo backdrop to cuddly kittens. Pristine and optimistic sweater models of the 1950s and 1960s play foreground to Twentieth Century battle scenes. Each card has an eye for color, as irony is often best delivered in the midst of gentle pastels.
Sharon Alexander brings her small paper art to Seattle Square. Regularly presenting card and paper art at Seattle venues such as Kobo Galleries, Retail Therapy and Travelers, adaptation to venue theme or style is often and readily available. For Seattle Square, the compositions depict an outdoor summer season within the aesthetic accents of paper from all over the world.
We are excited to announce a new media sponsor for the market: PubliCola.
To be honest, I had almost forgotten that we were going to be featured on their site, when I opened their site this morning, to see this:
Woot! PubliCola is a daily read for me and it’s great to have their support. We are going to have ads throughout their site, and think that their audience is a perfect fit for our market. Check them out here.
How did Foamy Wader start?
After years of ogling lovely jewelry with prices out-of-my-means I decided to begin creating jewelry back in 2007. The goal was to create well-made, stylish pieces without the excessive price tag. Thus Foamy Wader was born.
What type of things do you make?
I make gemstone and wire necklaces, earrings, rings and bracelets as well as pop-art button rings and knit beards.
What is your inspiration?
For jewelry I draw inspiration from film, music, books, nature, art, etc. The inspiration for the knit beards came from brainstorming a gift for a friend who is a die-hard ZZ Top fan.
Where can we find your stuff (other than at our market)?
You can find my jewelry at Los Rubbish in Ballard and Ghost Gallery on Capitol Hill.

How did The Drifting Dragonfly start?
It all started just for fun! I taught myself to crochet back in 2008, just making come simple things for myself and soon things took off! All of my friends were asking to buy things from me, local businesses started to ask that I donate some of my accessories to raffles for charity… My husband has been making jewelry as a hobby for years, and people had started to show interest in buying some of his work. So we put them both together and created The Drifting Dragonfly!
What type of things do you make?
We make a variety of fun hand made accessories!…from crocheted hats, scarves, and fingerless mittens to bikini’s (special order), slouchy berets, wallets, and market bags…Not to mention many different types of jewelry, usually made with African trade beads we have collected over the years.
What is your inspiration?
A lot of our inspiration comes from what we have coined “metro-natural”…A term we jokingly used when my husband bought a bottle of Tomato Cologne…But in general, earth tones and organic styles tend to inspire us, with a little bit of a “metro” spin.
Where can we find your stuff (other than at our market)?
We currently have an Etsy store (http://thedriftingdragonlfy.etsy.com) which unfortunately doesn’t get a whole lot of love in the summer months as we are busy selling at markets around the state! We will be coming out with our own website shortly. We do however continue to take custom orders from the Etsy site, so if you see something you like at the market, but don’t see it on our store front, just ask!

Claire Jauregui is a Seattle-based artist who has loved making cards since she was 7 years old. Orange Twist started in 2008 as a way for Claire to put a passel of newly acquired printing skills to good use and continue making creative work without a dedicated studio space. Cards were small enough to allow Claire to work on many designs at one time and fulfilled her wish to make items that would be enjoyed, used, and create connections among people. Orange Twist now offers a line of hand-screenprinted greeting cards as well as custom design that includes wedding invitations, packaging, and personalized notecards.
Orange Twist will feature single cards and sets of cards at the Seattle Square Saturday, August, 21. Orange Twist designs combine humor, nostalgia, and clean, quirky design that make them perfect for any occasion.
Orange Twist is committed to offering a quality product while employing environmentally friendly and sustainable business practices. All white cards and envelopes are made from 100% recycled post-consumer content. Gentle cleaners are used in the studio: Simple Green, canola oil, and water. Screens are reclaimed and environmentally sensitive products are used to do so. Individual and sets of cards are protected from moisture and stains by compostable sleeves. Orange Twist reuses and recycles office and packing supplies.
Orange Twist cards are available in many Seattle shops including Laguna Vintage Pottery, The Elliot Bay Book Company, Meridian Market, Queen Anne Books, and FriendShop in the Central Library. Orange Twist is also online at www.orangetwistcards.com and cards are available for purchase at www.orangetwist.etsy.com.
